Where does the time go???

Sorry this is so late or overdue, I have slapped my hand.

Before Lucy arrived I thought I never had time, now I'm really wondering - where does the time go????

Grant got a job -HOORAY, but now we needed a baysitter for Ms. Lucy. So Lucy has been spending her days with cousin Cash and another friend Jack. Getting her bag packed the night before then me getting ready in the morning and taking her to Aunt Andy's seems so crazy yet a way of life already. The new schedule already feels like a routine and a routine Lucy enjoys. When we arrive at Aunt Andy's, Lucy usually welcomes her with a big smile and typically a laugh or two. And luckily no crying when I leave.

Other than the new schedule we have not done much yet there seems to be no extra time in the day.Lucy is scooting backwards and in circles like you wouldn't believe but not much forward movement. Any day now she will be going forward and getting into everything.

Sorry I have not taken many pictures lately- just nothing exciting to take pictures of. But, here are some I felt were cute from a recent bath. I must add she loves bath time! I think she would stay in for hours if I allowed her to.

Busy Weekend Fun

This weekend began with Aunt Holly's annual Valentine Dinner. Each year Aunt Holly does an Italian dinner to celebrate the romance of Valentines Day. One thing you need to understand is that Holly does not cook. The Valentines Day dinner began as one day where Holly would make dinner for family and friends. This years dinner was yummy baked Ravioli's, a scrumptious salad and garlic bread. And, she also did homemade cookies for dessert. Excellent dinner Holly!!!

Sunday was an evening at cousin Cash's house. Lucy's Great Aunt Nancy and Great Uncle Doug are visiting from Arkansas. Just as before Lucy is a beast next Cash and now she is turning into a bully. At one point we had the two munchkins sitting side by side and Lucy kept grabbing Cash's hood towards her and then she was patting his head roughly. After that she would pull him towards her again and suck on his head just as though she was kissing the boo boo she just gave him. Meanwhile Cash was reaching for his mom to save him from the Brut. Sorry Cash but Lucy will be over 3 days a week torturing you!!

Monday morning the three of us met the Herrin family for breakfast. Lucy was on dad's lap and when the food arrived she reached in for a big handful of omelet. It was great she had a huge smile on her face. Shortly after that Trinity was tired of her car seat and decided she wanted out. Here is a picture of her once her momma rescued her from the confining seat.

San Diego Snow!!!

It's hard to believe one week ago I was bragging about 90 degree weather and wearing summer clothes. Today Grant and Lucy headed 30 minutes from home to the snow with Grant's lifelong best friend Dan, his wife Cassie and 2 month old baby girl Trinity (I was at work slaving away but that is another story Grant has heard plenty of today). This was not just a little bit of snow; parts were mid shin on Grant and remember he is 6' 6" tall. Cassie tried running and did a face plant, lucky for her there is no picture of that. The scenery pictures are just beautiful and makes you feel like you are on the east coast. Herrin Family

The dad's and their girls. Grant and Lucy. ..... Trinity looked like a fun toy to play with to Lucy. Here are some scenery shots ...

Lucy's First Cat Experience

Up till Friday Lucy has only interacted with dogs. She has 3 dogs at home, Grandma and Grandpa have 3 dogs, and Grandpa Steve has 2 dogs so Friday Lucy was with Grandma Joyce who has a cat. Now mind you Lucy and Fatsy Patsy each weigh in at roughly 20 lbs. Lucy actually looks little next to Patsy. Lucy really enjoyed her time with Patsy and Grandma. Another good thing is no signs of allergies yet, thank goodness!!

Grant and I are always talking about relocating out of state. We have considered many options and that is one reason for our trip to Texas last November. However, it is really hard to consider leaving San Diego when you have warm, beautiful days like we've had lately. Super Bowl Sunday - February 1st - it was 80 degree's and Lucy was able to wear a summer outfit that she would have otherwise outgrown. It is just hard to imagine living somewhere that is under snow with no power. I just love San Diego weather, it truly cannot be beat! Here are a few pictures of Lucy on Sunday. Poor kid, she watched us stuff our faces all day and kept reaching for food but all she got was her yummy formula.

Only Uncle Al was privileged enough to get a scalp massage while watching the game.

Lucy demonstrated to the family what her and dad practice doing while mom's away. Many time's Grant has been told he resembles Elvis, well it must be true . Here is Lucy doing her Elvis lip.

The great thing with Lucy that everyone thinks is very odd is that whenever she gets upset, just let her hang her head upside down and she'll be happy again.

She loves to be in this position. This is what makes her happy. The fingers in her mouth is her everyday look anymore,it's impossible to keep them out. I am still waiting for her bottom tooth to come in.
