San Diego View

Sunday morning Grandma Joyce Lucy and I met up with Aunt Andy, Uncle Robert and Cash to walk across the Coronado Bridge. This was the 23rd Annual Navy Bay Bridge Walk/Run, where 2 lanes of the bridge are shut down for this event. Now Grandma has done this walk 5 years so she ditched us to run the bridge. From start to finish it was a 4 mile walk - only about 2 miles on the actual bridge. We had SO much fun. Robert brought his radio so we were dancing while walking, trying to not clip ankles on the people in front of us and just trying to get a workout while scrambling through the thousands of people. Total registered participants was 8,000 people (you can imagine the sea of people.)We had a great time and loved the view from the top of the bridge looking at the San Diego Skyline. Definitely ready to go again next year!

"Are you ready for this???"

"Bring it on!"
"Mom it's too early to expect 4 Miles out of me"
Just past the start line
Just starting the actual bridge
Aunt Andy in front of us as we head up the incline
Lucy at the top, all smiles and proud of herself that she made it.
Mom and Lucy at the top
YEAH we made it to end
Grandma had to wait a little while for us but, we made it
Now we're waiting for the bus to take us back across the bridge
Still waiting
